Antofagasta Q3 Copper Output Rises 7% to 151,900 Tonnes as Miner Issues 2027 Guidance

Antofagasta reported a 7% quarter-on-quarter increase in copper production to 151,900 tonnes in the third quarter of 2026, driven by a recovery at its Los Pelambres mine in Chile following disruptions caused by severe weather in July.

The FTSE 100 miner maintained its full-year 2026 production guidance of 625,000 to 655,000 tonnes and introduced 2027 guidance of 630,000 to 690,000 tonnes. The 2027 range reflects higher expected ore grades at Los Pelambres, partly offset by lower grades anticipated at its Centinela Concentrates operation. The company also lifted its cost forecast alongside the new guidance.
