BlackRock Drives $110 Million Bitcoin ETF Inflow as Ethereum Funds Bleed $88.6 Million in Single Day

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $110.34 million in net inflows on October 26, snapping a two-session streak of outflows. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, IBIT, accounted for the entire amount, underscoring the firm's outsized role in institutional Bitcoin accumulation.

Spot Ethereum ETFs told a sharply different story on the same day, posting $88.58 million in net outflows. BlackRock's ETHA led the retreat with $104.71 million in withdrawals, a figure large enough to overwhelm a $16.13 million inflow from Fidelity's FETH and pull the broader Ethereum ETF category firmly into the red.

Among altcoin spot ETFs, flows were mixed. Zcash and NEAR attracted modest inflows of $1.96 million and $1.40 million respectively on October 26, while Solana led withdrawals at $8.23 million, followed by HYPE and XRP.

The divergence between Bitcoin and Ethereum fund flows on the same session points to a shift in near-term institutional preference toward Bitcoin. A separate study published around the same time cautioned investors that IBIT's daily flows are not reliable predictors of future Bitcoin price performance, adding a note of skepticism around reading too much directional signal into any single session's numbers.
