CAVA Group Surges After Q2 Earnings Beat as Cyclospora Fears Fade, Quantinuum Pops on First Public Results

CAVA Group was on pace for its best single-day gain in five months on Wednesday after reporting second-quarter revenue of $365.4 million, a 31.3% year-over-year increase that topped the analyst consensus of $360 million. Same-store sales rose 9%, led by 5.3% guest traffic growth and 3.7% from menu pricing and mix, beating the 7.1% Wall Street estimate. The Mediterranean fast-casual chain opened 17 net new restaurants in the quarter, lifting its total count to 476 locations, up 19.6% year over year, and reported a restaurant-level profit margin of 25.7%.

CEO Brett Schulman said the company had managed through the brief impact of a cyclospora outbreak linked to shredded iceberg lettuce, and investors appeared relieved that the traffic recovery was already under way. CAVA reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance, projecting 75 to 77 net new openings and same-restaurant sales growth of 4.5%. Separately, Quantinuum jumped more than 23% after releasing its first earnings report as a public company: second-quarter revenue came in at $8 million, up 279% from $2 million a year earlier and ahead of the $7.6 million consensus.

The quantum computing firm attributed the outperformance to growing cloud computing uptake, though its GAAP net loss widened sharply to $597 million from $57 million in the prior-year period. Quantinuum also issued its first formal public guidance, projecting full-year 2026 revenue of $28 million to $32 million.
