Danaher Beats Q3 Profit Estimates by 10%, Raises Full-Year EPS Guidance and Forecasts Accelerating Growth

Danaher Corporation reported third-quarter 2026 adjusted earnings per share of $2.11, beating the analyst consensus of roughly $1.92 by $0.19, or approximately 10%, while revenue of $6.55 billion came in just $10 million below the $6.56 billion estimate despite rising 8.5% year over year. Core revenue grew 3.0% overall and 5.5% excluding respiratory-related revenue, an acceleration of 100 basis points from the second quarter. GAAP EPS climbed 34.5% year over year to $1.71. Operating cash flow reached $1.89 billion, up roughly 13.5% year over year, and free cash flow rose approximately 19% to $1.63 billion.

Danaher raised its full-year 2026 adjusted EPS guidance to a range of $8.57 to $8.62, up from its prior range of $8.45 to $8.60 and above the analyst consensus of $8.51. The company now expects full-year core revenue growth of approximately 2.5% year over year. For the fourth quarter, management guided core revenue growth of 4.0% to 5.0% excluding respiratory revenue, with an adjusted operating margin of approximately 29.5%, pointing to continued improvement in underlying growth momentum. Looking further ahead, Danaher forecast 2027 core revenue growth of 4% to 5% excluding respiratory.

The results coincide with a CEO transition, with Julie Montgomery now leading the company as President, CEO and Director. On the earnings call, management highlighted improving customer demand trends across its life sciences and diagnostics end markets and described Danaher as having the building blocks to capture growth from AI-driven drug discovery. Shares rose approximately 4% on the day, outperforming broader market peers, though some analysts noted that organic growth remains partly supported by non-recurring items such as tariff refunds, and that Q4 EPS guidance implies a figure below some expectations, leaving the new management team with execution questions to answer.
