Datavault AI Stock Drops 22% After Q2 Revenue Misses by $23.5M Despite 287% Growth

Datavault AI reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $6.7 million, a 287% year-over-year increase that nonetheless fell short of Wall Street estimates by $23.55 million. GAAP earnings per share came in at negative $0.12, missing consensus by $0.09 to $0.10. Shares fell roughly 22.1% on the day, making DVLT one of the worst performers in the semiconductor and technology sectors.

The company reiterated its full-year 2026 revenue target of $200 million despite the widening gap between reported results and that goal, and disclosed a $213 million contract backlog. On the same day, Datavault announced three acquisitions: blockchain advertising exchange NYIAX, cybersecurity firm CyberCatch in a $94 million deal, and Wyoming financial institution BankWyse, which the company described as adding the final piece to its data monetization ecosystem. The earnings call highlighted a surge in tokenization contract value.

Compounding the pressure on the stock, multiple securities law firms including Kaplan Fox, Faruqi and Faruqi, Berger Montague, Glancy Prongay Wolke and Rotter, and Rosen Law Firm are pursuing or reminding investors of a pending class action covering purchasers of DVLT securities between September 4, 2024 and October 30, 2025, with a lead plaintiff deadline of October 5, 2026.
