Eli Lilly Hits All-Time High as Stock Surges 4% and Deal With Amplitude Expands RNA Vaccine Pipeline

The collaboration initially targets undisclosed infectious disease programs with high unmet need, and Lilly retains the option to expand into up to two additional targets. Amplitude's taRNA platform separates the replicase and antigen-encoding RNA components, a design intended to enable higher potency, lower doses, and improved manufacturability compared with conventional RNA modalities. The deal extends Lilly's active dealmaking run in 2026, which has already included moves into oral inflammatory therapies and circular RNA.

Analysts continue to debate Lilly's long-term valuation, with the company already having crossed the $1 trillion market-cap threshold, and a number of research shops view it as a top long-term growth holding, citing the dominance of its GLP-1 franchise anchored by Mounjaro and Zepbound, which drove a 48% revenue increase to $23.0 billion in the second quarter of 2026.
