General Dynamics Names President Danny Deep as CEO Starting January 2027

General Dynamics has selected its current president, Danny Deep, to become the company's next chief executive officer, effective January 2027. Deep, 56, is a longtime company insider who has served as president since December 2025 and has been with General Dynamics for more than 20 years.

Before becoming president, Deep held a series of senior operating roles at the defense contractor, including executive vice president for Global Operations and executive vice president for Combat Systems. His election to the board of directors was announced in August 2026, signaling the succession plan ahead of the formal CEO transition.
