Grayscale Launches First U.S. Zcash ETF on NYSE Arca Under Ticker ZCSH

Grayscale on Tuesday listed the Grayscale Zcash Trust ETF under the ticker ZCSH on NYSE Arca, making it the first U.S. exchange-traded product dedicated to Zcash. The fund converts an existing Grayscale investment vehicle into a spot-style ETF, giving brokerage investors regulated exposure to ZEC, the privacy-focused cryptocurrency. The launch comes roughly three months after a critical vulnerability shook confidence in Zcash: in late May 2026, security engineer Taylor Hornby discovered a four-year-old counterfeiting flaw in the Orchard privacy pool that could have allowed unlimited, undetectable creation of ZEC tokens.

The bug was patched by June 1, but the public disclosure triggered a roughly 38 percent collapse in ZEC's price. Grayscale's decision to proceed with the ETF despite that backdrop signals a bet that demand for regulated crypto exposure beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum can sustain a product in a coin category that has faced persistent legitimacy questions. The listing on NYSE Arca also reflects a continued regulatory shift in Washington toward approving crypto products tied to assets outside the two dominant coins.
