Yemen's Houthi military spokesperson announced on Sunday that the group carried out a drone strike on Saudi Aramco's refinery in Jazan, describing the strike as precise and saying it came in response to Saudi Arabia's breach of airspace over the Yemeni provinces of Saada and Hajjah with drones. Saudi Arabia's Energy Ministry acknowledged a fire at the site, confirming that industrial firefighting teams brought it under control and that no injuries were reported. The ministry did not disclose the cause or extent of the blaze, and it remained unclear whether the incident damaged equipment or disrupted production at the complex, which has a processing capacity of up to 400,000 barrels of crude per day.

The attack is part of a broader escalation in the region, with the Houthis also claiming strikes on Aramco facilities in Yanbu and on Saudi oil tankers in recent weeks.
