Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube jointly founded the Streaming Access and Choice Alliance, a new policy coalition focused on consumer access to online content and how digital platforms compete for live entertainment and sports rights. The formation comes as sports streaming faces increased regulatory scrutiny. Netflix climbed around 4% on the news, while Alphabet ticked modestly higher and Amazon shares barely moved.

Adding further complexity to Netflix's competitive picture, a Seeking Alpha analysis argued that chaos surrounding Paramount's acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, a debt-heavy deal, has strengthened Netflix's strategic moat by weakening rival studios. Netflix management has guided for 12% revenue growth and a 33.2% operating margin in the next quarter. Separately, Netflix faces a newly filed lawsuit alleging secret tracking of families and children, a development that could draw regulatory attention.
