CEO Jensen Huang described the structure as addressing concerns over "circular financing," a reference to criticism that chip buyers have been relying on debt tied back to Nvidia's own ecosystem.

The deal drew divided reactions on Wall Street, with some observers questioning the debt levels and ultimate returns for borrowers even as the headline figure drew wide attention. Alternative asset managers named in the deal traded higher on the news, with Blackstone, Apollo, KKR, Brookfield, and BlackRock all seeing gains. Neocloud and infrastructure-adjacent stocks also rallied, with Hut 8 up 7% to $91, TeraWulf up 4% to $17, Galaxy Digital up 4% to $20, and Core Scientific up 4% to $20.

The financing structure is described as the largest capital pool ever assembled around a single technology theme, and it is expected to accelerate demand for Nvidia hardware and, by extension, reshape semiconductor supply chains including TSMC's order pipeline.
