Regions Financial Q3 2026 Profit Rises to $611 Million as EPS Beats Estimates Despite Revenue Miss

Regions Financial posted third-quarter 2026 net income of $611 million with diluted earnings per share of $0.71, the Birmingham, Alabama-based bank reported on October 16. On a non-GAAP basis, EPS came in at $0.73, beating analyst estimates by $0.07, while total revenue of $1.99 billion fell short of forecasts by roughly $10 million.

A key driver of the profit gain was net interest income growth of 3.3%, which rose to $1.3 billion, helped in part by fixed-rate asset turnover. The company's earnings call presentation also highlighted improvement in credit quality during the quarter.

Also reporting on the same day, rival regional lender Truist Financial posted non-GAAP EPS of $1.16, missing estimates by $0.01, on revenue of $5.3 billion that came in $60 million below expectations.
