Samsung Wallet Goes Live With USDC on Solana for 82 Million US Galaxy Users
Read this in the Market Flux appSamsung Wallet has launched a new Stablecoin Account feature for eligible U.S. Galaxy users, enabling them to buy, hold, send and receive Circle's USDC on the Solana blockchain directly within the app. The service reaches approximately 82 million compatible Galaxy devices across the United States and requires no separate crypto app or private key management.
The product was built in partnership with Bastion, a licensed stablecoin custodian and infrastructure provider, and Coinbase, which serves as Bastion's sub-custodian through Coinbase Prime Vault. Samsung charges no transfer fee for sending USDC to other Samsung Wallet users or to compatible external crypto wallets, though third-party providers may apply their own fees. Bank payouts in local currencies are also supported in more than 60 countries.
To qualify, users must run Android 13 or later and be U.S. residents aged 18 and older, with New York residents excluded. As a launch incentive, new users who top up at least $50 receive $25 in USDC. Samsung had first announced the USDC integration on October 7, 2026, with the full rollout going live on November 5.
