Standard Uranium and Aventis Energy Report 48,000 cps Surface Radioactivity and New Uranium Showings at Saskatchewan's Corvo Project

Standard Uranium Ltd. (TSXV: STND) and its earn-in partner Aventis Energy Inc. (CSE: AVE) have announced preliminary results from the 2026 ground exploration program at the Corvo Uranium Project in Saskatchewan, recording peak surface radioactivity of 48,000 counts per second (cps) and identifying new uranium showings across the property.

The readings, measured using a handheld RS-125 Super-Spec scintillometer, mark a step up from the 33,000 cps anomalies reported during a 2025 prospecting and mapping program at the same project. Corvo is located near Wollaston Lake in the Athabasca Basin region, a world-class uranium district. The project is currently under a three-year earn-in option agreement between Standard Uranium and Aventis Energy.

The new results extend a track record of increasingly high-grade surface discoveries at Corvo. Earlier in 2026, drill results from the project's inaugural drilling campaign intersected anomalous radioactivity above 300 cps across 23 composite metres in seven holes at the Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Tribeca target areas, while prior grab samples had returned uranium grades as high as 8.10% U3O8 at surface, described at the time as the highest grades ever reported on the project. The latest surface work now adds new showings to the project's footprint, suggesting additional targets beyond those previously drilled.
