Surf Air Mobility Signs Second OperatorOS Deal with SkyDance Air and Names Barrett Brown as SurfOS President

Surf Air Mobility (NYSE: SRFM) announced on September 23 that it has signed a definitive agreement with SkyDance Air for OperatorOS, its SurfOS flight operations software platform built for Part 135 operators and powered by Palantir Technologies (Nasdaq: PLTR). The deal is the company's second commercial OperatorOS contract, moving it closer to its stated goal of having five operators live on the platform.

The company also named Barrett Brown as president of SurfOS, signaling a push to build out the software business with dedicated leadership. SurfOS, which runs on Palantir's AIP and Foundry platforms, is designed to unify the fragmented air mobility ecosystem by streamlining flight operations, and the company has earmarked $26 million from a prior $100 million strategic transaction specifically to fund SurfOS development and commercialization. SRFM shares were trading higher in pre-market following the announcement.
