Tesla Q3 2026 Deliveries Hit 486,532 Vehicles, Beating Wall Street Estimates by More Than 22,000 Units

Tesla delivered 486,532 vehicles in the third quarter of 2026, surpassing the consensus estimate of roughly 461,974 to 463,761 and marking a meaningful beat against Wall Street expectations. The result extends Tesla's streak of delivery growth and comes despite intensifying competitive pressure from Chinese and European automakers rolling out affordable and innovative electric vehicles.

The headline delivery figure was driven almost entirely by the Model 3 and Model Y, which accounted for 478,237 deliveries, well above the expected 462,078. Other models, including higher-priced vehicles, delivered just 7,004 units against an estimate of approximately 9,759, falling short on that segment. On the production side, Tesla built 464,391 vehicles in total, below the estimate of 473,294. Model 3 and Model Y production came in at 457,387, short of the projected 481,279, while other model production reached 8,295 units, also below estimates.

The delivery beat sent Tesla shares higher immediately after the report. Analysts had been watching closely given that Goldman Sachs had cut its Q3 delivery forecast to 435,000 vehicles in the run-up to the print, making the actual result a significant upside surprise relative to that more cautious view.
