Vertiv Holdings Surges 16% After Q3 Revenue Jumps 61% and Full-Year Guidance Raised on AI Data Center Demand

Vertiv Holdings posted third-quarter 2026 net sales of $4.31 billion, a 61% year-over-year increase that included 55% organic growth and a roughly 6% contribution from acquisitions, crushing the analyst consensus of approximately $3.75 billion. Adjusted diluted EPS came in at $2.21, up 78% from a year earlier and well ahead of the $1.82 estimate, while GAAP net income nearly doubled to $764.5 million from $398.5 million. Adjusted operating margin expanded 290 basis points to 25.2%, driven by higher volumes and manufacturing productivity gains that pushed adjusted operating profit up 83%, outpacing even the record revenue growth. Organic orders growth exceeded 100% year over year, signaling an exceptionally strong demand pipeline tied to AI data center infrastructure buildout.

The Americas segment led all regions with $2.99 billion in revenue, up 75% year over year, while Asia Pacific contributed $779.3 million, up 50%, and EMEA added $544.7 million, up 23%. Adjusted free cash flow rose 50% to $652 million, and operating cash flow climbed 64% to $794 million. Capital expenditures more than tripled to $139.1 million from $45.2 million a year earlier as the company expanded manufacturing capacity.

Vertiv raised its full-year 2026 guidance to net sales of $14.45 billion to $14.85 billion, with a midpoint of $14.65 billion, above the prior consensus of roughly $14.02 billion, and lifted its adjusted diluted EPS guidance to $7.10 to $7.20, midpoint $7.15, representing 70% growth versus full-year 2025 and above the prior consensus of $6.74. Full-year GAAP diluted EPS guidance midpoint was set at $6.29, an 84% increase versus 2025. Fourth-quarter guidance called for net sales of $4.31 billion to $4.51 billion and adjusted EPS of $2.22 to $2.28, both roughly in line with or modestly above consensus. CEO Giordano Albertazzi described the results as evidence that the company is "in the middle of the largest infrastructure buildout and it's accelerating," and management said it is compressing new-product development cycles from years to months while adding capacity to meet evolving data center requirements.

Shares of VRT closed up approximately 16.5%, finishing as the best performer in the S&P 500 on the day, rising from a prior close of $208.56 to around $242 to $243. Bank of America maintained its Buy rating and described the revenue beat as the largest positive revenue surprise in the company's stock-market history in both absolute and percentage terms. Year to date heading into the session, the stock had already gained roughly 46%.
