Vicor Raises Q3 2026 Revenue Guidance to 20%-Plus Sequential Growth on New Power Delivery License

Vicor Corporation lifted its third-quarter 2026 revenue guidance on September 21, now expecting sequential growth of more than 20%, roughly double its prior outlook of nearly 10% growth. The upgrade is driven by royalties from a newly signed non-exclusive license for the company's patented Vertical Power Delivery technology, adding to a licensing program that now counts four leading OEMs and hyperscalers as licensees.

CEO Patrizio Vinciarelli said some hyperscalers approached Vicor after computing systems using infringing power modules were blocked from import, and after recognizing that systems running unlicensed Vertical Power Delivery technology could face similar enforcement action. The licensing model allows OEMs to source components from multiple suppliers while Vicor collects royalty revenue from its patented power-delivery architecture.

Vicor shares rose sharply on the news. The Q2 2026 earnings call had already flagged that new license agreements were structured to contribute $5 million per quarter in their first year and $10 million per quarter in their second year, with revenues recognized separately from cash collections under GAAP accounting rules.
