A wave of third-quarter 2026 earnings reports hit markets on October 28, producing sharp moves in both directions. Wingstop delivered the session's most dramatic rally, with shares surging 14.6% after the restaurant chain beat Q3 EPS expectations. Vertiv Holdings reported 61% sales growth and raised guidance across multiple metrics, standing out as one of the strongest results of the day.

Garmin reported record consolidated revenue of $1.99 billion, a 12% year-over-year increase, alongside record operating income of $612 million, up 34%, and raised its full-year guidance. The stock's reaction was contradicted by two sources, with one reporting a 6% share decline and another citing a 3% rise. Frontier Group topped Q3 estimates and saw its shares climb 7%, while OneSpaWorld posted record revenues of $276.5 million, up 7% from a year earlier, with net income rising 16% to $28.2 million.

Lennox International reported Q3 revenue of $1.6 billion, up 10% year over year, though GAAP operating income slipped 5% to $312 million, with GAAP diluted EPS of $6.41. International Paper posted a Q3 profit beat, and PROG Holdings outlined full-year 2026 revenue guidance of $3.015 billion to $3.05 billion with non-GAAP EPS of $4.70 to $4.85, while announcing a $100 million accelerated share repurchase. On the negative side, Ventas missed Q3 EPS estimates and its stock fell 4%, National Bank Holdings missed its Q3 profit view, and Baker Hughes beat earnings expectations but saw its stock decline on leverage concerns. Amarin reported Q3 revenue of $39.6 million, down from $49.7 million a year earlier, recording a near-breakeven net loss of $0.2 million. Etsy disclosed that CFO Lanny Baker will depart in early 2027, remaining in his role through March 1 and in an advisory capacity through July 1.
