XRP ETFs Pull In Record $110M Weekly Inflows as Price Slips 7% to $1.36

XRP spot ETFs in the United States recorded their strongest weekly inflow since 2025, drawing $110 million in new capital over a single week even as the token itself fell roughly 7% over the same period to trade near $1.36 on August 31. The divergence between surging institutional demand and weakening price momentum reflects leveraged position unwinding and fading retail activity that have capped the rally despite the record fund flows.

On the technical side, analysts are split on the next directional move. Ali Martinez identified a bullish breakout above $1.40 on the hourly chart and set $1.70 as his near-term target, while other analysts point to a falling wedge pattern and a short-liquidation cluster near $1.48 that could push XRP toward $1.50 to $1.52. The $1.55 to $1.60 zone is widely cited as the critical resistance level that must be cleared before any run toward $2, a level that would require a roughly 45% rally from current prices.

A separate catalyst is emerging on the institutional side: a Ripple-backed XRP treasury vehicle is moving closer to a Nasdaq debut, a development that could broaden mainstream access to XRP exposure. Adding a seasonal tailwind, analyst Xaif Crypto notes that since 2018, XRP has finished September in positive territory five out of eight times, with an average return of 12.19%, countering the broader crypto market's reputation for weakness in that month.
