Zelenskiy Confirms Starlink Speed Limits Still Active on Ukrainian Front Lines, Contradicting Trump Claims

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy confirmed on Friday that speed limits on Starlink and Starshield satellite services remain in effect along the front lines, directly contradicting earlier claims by US President Donald Trump that Elon Musk had fully restored Ukraine's access. Disruptions to critical battlefield communications are persisting, deepening concerns about Ukraine's strategic dependence on the US-controlled satellite network.

Trump, responding to the dispute, said he had not spoken to Musk about the issue and claimed to have no idea who had slowed the service, but pledged to resolve any problem if one exists. The contradiction between Trump's assurances and Zelenskiy's on-the-ground account leaves the status of Starlink access unresolved at a sensitive moment in the conflict.

Separately, Zelenskiy said he spoke with US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner and that the discussions, which followed meetings in Norway, produced an agreement for a trilateral meeting at the team level, with both sides aiming to convene in the first half of November as soon as possible.
