India October Flash PMIs Show Broad Acceleration Led by Services Sector

India's economy showed stronger private-sector activity in October, with the HSBC flash composite PMI rising to 56.7 from 55.9 in September, beating the forecast of 56.1. The reading marks an acceleration across both major sectors and signals continued robust expansion, as any figure above 50 indicates growth.

Services led the improvement, with the flash PMI climbing to 56.2 from 55.2 the prior month, topping the 55.5 forecast. Manufacturing edged slightly lower to 54.9 from 55.1 in September, just missing the 55.0 consensus estimate, though it remained firmly in expansionary territory.
