Trump Says Zelensky Should Find Someone Else to Negotiate Ukraine Peace Deal
Read this in the Market Flux appPresident Trump publicly broke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on October 19, declaring it is time for someone else to negotiate on Ukraine's behalf after Zelensky said Trump is on the wrong side of history. Trump dismissed the criticism flatly, saying Zelensky does not know what he is talking about.
Trump also noted that the United States has given a great deal to Ukraine while receiving nothing in return, sharpening his frustration with Kyiv's leadership of the diplomatic process. He separately indicated he is negotiating directly with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Ukraine, suggesting the U.S. channel to Moscow remains active.
On Iran, Trump characterized Russia's restraint as a positive development, saying Russia has done very little for Iran and could have done a lot more, framing Moscow's behavior as well-behaved on that front. He described the overall situation with respect to Iran as good.
