Aeonian Confirms Revett-Style Copper-Silver Model at Koocanusa as Northern Shield Declares Porphyry Copper Discovery in Newfoundland

Aeonian Resources Corp. (TSX-V: ALTN) released mineralogical results on October 20 that support a Revett-style sediment-hosted copper-silver model at its 100%-owned Koocanusa Project in southeastern British Columbia. The Revett comparison is significant because the Revett copper belt in neighbouring Montana hosts district-scale deposits known for strong orebody continuity, moderate grades, and long mine life potential. The new mineralogical data build on a multi-hole 2026 drill program at the Jake target, which included hole KOO26-01 completed in March and four additional holes drilled later in the year, all of which have been logged, sampled, and submitted to ALS Canada for assay. Koocanusa now covers approximately 412 square kilometres following a claim expansion announced in August 2026, with the project straddling a 50-kilometre copper-bearing corridor in the Purcell Basin.

Separately, Northern Shield Resources Inc. (TSX-V: NRN) confirmed a surface porphyry copper discovery at its Creston target on the 100%-owned Root and Cellar Property on the Burin Peninsula in southeastern Newfoundland. The company also identified further copper mineralization at the broader Root and Cellar project. The Creston target had previously returned grab rock samples grading up to 2.0% copper, 3.9% lead, and 4.0% zinc in March 2026, along with anomalous silver and tellurium, and a 3D induced polarization survey completed by late August 2026 had delineated the porphyry system ahead of drill permitting. The surface confirmation of a porphyry copper system adds to a property already recognized for a large epithermal gold-silver-tellurium system across a six-kilometre strike length.

Kutcho Copper (TSX-V: KC) also gained visibility on October 20 after Natural Resources Canada selected the Kutcho Copper project for inclusion in its Critical Mineral Project Showcase, a recognition that underscores the growing policy interest in domestic copper supply in Canada.
